PUNJAB POLICE RECRUITMENT OF MALE & FEMALE CONSTABLES-2016 (DISTRICT POLICE CADRE & ARMED POLICE CADRE)

Online applications are invited for direct recruitment from Indian nationals using the website www.punjabpolicerecruitment.in, to fill up the following vacancies of male and female constables in the (1) District Police Cadre and (2) Armed Police Cadre, of Punjab Police, in the Pay Band of Rs. 10300-34800 + Grade Pay Rs. 3200/-, and other allowances as admissible.

However, as per State government instructions (no.7/204/2012-4FP1/66 dated 15.01.2015), during the probation period, they will only be eligible for fixed emoluments, i.e. equivalent to the minimum of the Pay band. During the probation period, they would not be entitled to any grade pay, annual increments or any other allowances, except TA. As per Cabinet decision (30.4.2016), the probation period of all fresh appointees would be 3 years.

POSTING/DEPLOYMENT Selected candidate(s) can be posted/deployed anywhere in Punjab, India or abroad, on the orders of the Director General of Police, Punjab or any other officer authorized in this regard according to the exigencies of job and its manifold requirements. The candidate shall not have any right or lien to a particular place/district/area, in or outside the State of Punjab, in this regard.

Punjab State Cooperative Milk Producers’ Federation (Milkfed) intends to appoint Management Trainees against the following posts in its various Milk Unions /Milkfed Units across the State of Punjab.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:

Selection for each category shall be based on a written test. There will be no interview.

The merit will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidate in the written test. The breakup of the marks for the written test may comprise of the following broad areas:

	Maximum Marks:		100 marks
(i)	Language Proficiency (Punjabi and English) -		20 marks
(ii)	General Awareness -		15 marks
(iii)	Mental Aptitude / Reasoning -		15 marks
(iv)	Computer Proficiency		15 marks
(v)	Subject Area:		35 marks
a.	for Clerk-cum-Typist	- B.Com level
b.	for Laboratory Assistant/
	Laboratory Technician	- B.Sc. level

The question paper will be objective type (100 marks) having 100 questions with multiple choices. Candidates will mark their answers on OMR sheet and each question will carry 1 mark. The question paper will be provided in English (except the Punjabi language proficiency part) and the minimum qualifying marks for candidates in the written examination will be 45% (40% for SC, BC, SC Ex. Servicemen candidates of Punjab domicile only) of the total marks for the examination.

In case two or more candidates obtaining equal marks in the written examination the merit will be decided in order of following:-

(i) Candidate with higher qualification shall be placed higher in merit.

(ii) If still there is a tie between candidates, elder in age will be placed higher in merit.

(iii) If the tie still persists between candidates, the candidate obtaining higher percentage of marks in qualifying academic qualification shall be placed higher in merit.

(a) Physical Standard Test (PST).
(b) Physical Efficiency Test (PET) - Five Kilometers (5 Kms) race to be completed within 24 minutes.

(d) Trade Test - Only qualifying in nature. The candidates who qualify the PST/PET will be put through the respective Trade Test. Each candidate will be allowed to appear for one trade test only as entered in the application form.
(e) Written Test - for 100 marks containing 100 questions (qualifying marks 35% for GC & Ex-Servicemen and 33% for SC/ ST/ OBC) will consist of only OMR based objective type multiple choice questions to be answered using a black pen. The duration of the written test will be 2 hours.
(f) Medical Examination.
